CW’s last day with IBM
The day is here.
It’s CW’s last day with IBM. Unfortunately, yesterday while preparing for her handover, he harddisk crashed! I guess, her boss will her for sobataging the group and do not want to hand over probably.
Who cares…her boss does not even care about her leaving, look, face it! She tender one month ago and till she leave, her replacement is not even on board. I never heard about a boss, when a staff leave, never give them the blessing! This show how selfish each other is, on top, her boss blame her and told her that she was been selfish as how could she resign now!??? You mean, there is on the contract stating that a employee cannot resign on certain date and must get approval to do so?
Normally, when a staff leave, they left, usually closed to 99% is due to unhappiness! Unhappiness towards boss, policy, colleagues but not the company! Though IBM is a US MNC, but it is been very localized! The manangement are all local and they behalf like home family. There is no such thing as OPEN office concept, I experience myself (OK, I was ex-IBMer myself) that when I approach my level 2 boss, my direct boss warn me not to do that again! And of course, I was marked and left eventually!
Anyway, CW was relief to leave! I’m glad for her as she was headhunted and go to another company with >20% increament. Obveiously that IBM is undercutting their staffs and do not pay at market rate! Though, she may not be treated well neither, but, at least there is a chance for her to explore, rather than stink and rot there!
I’m glad for her!
