Sad, mixed feeling…
Just came back from Pataiya, Thailand with Andrew, John, BB and Anthony.
It’s been almost 20 years since we, boys, went overseas tour together.
The first day was hosted by Andrew’s business partner, Ked and Anthony’s good friend Mr Niti Phume. We have good meal and went for traditional Thai massage. It was indeed a solid good one, no hanky-panky type. When Niti sent us back to hotel, we did not rest immediately. We headed down to Popome (I hope I got the name correct) and went into a go-go bar.Â
This is the first time i went to a bar. Not just a normal bar, but a go-go bar. What is a go-go bar…hmmm…well, it’s normal bar, with girls and transexual dancing on the stage. And when you see anyone that you like, you can “buy” them a drink and they will sit by you and allow you to do anything…except sex. (You need to pay for extra, if you want to take the miles ahead).
The night was an eye-opening. BB and John was “molested” by several transexual. We asked the bartender if all the girls are real girls and the bartender seriously told us they were…however, only half of them were real girl and the others were transexual. The bartender kept towing us to go for extra mile of sex, but we all refused.
The next day, we headed to Pataiya. Could not remember which idolt said it is only 45 min drive, but ended 3 hour later.Â
We check-in the hotel at about 5pm and once leaving our stuffs in the room, we headed own to the most happening place…walking street (strip). It is a sinned city. The whole beach resort is filled with massage, food, strip bar and sex.
However, the food is SOLID! We ate our heart-felt full of good food. Just imaging, 2 plate of crab, fresh prawns, fishes, tom-yam, vegetable, clam, rices, drinks….for 5…cost only about SGD$100. Though i don’t really a sea-food lover, but what the hack, just eat lah.
Next we adjoun to another go-go bar. The girls are real girls now. But all of them looked so young. Eventhough they assured that all girls are above 20 years old, but i doubt and felt that they were mere 18 or even younger.
All the girls were so used to be naked and seen and touch by man. They drank glasses and glasses of beer/wine/liquor like mere water.
Suddenly, my heart sank. The transexual have no choice…they are outcasted and they are born not to be acceptable by both side of the world. Somehow when they were born, their x and y homone were not in well balance and resulting them to have a man body but a woman behaviour.. it’s sad to see them have to make a living with such entertainment. On the other hand, the young girls…I felt they do have a choice! They could came from a poor family, but they can do something else. I do not know if i am in my sane but, they could make a living by, selling Ice-cream or flowers or others.
It’s a mixed feeling, not sure if I’m upright or justifying, but at that point, I thought of Marina. I cannot imaging, when these girls during Marina’s age, will never image they could end out a stripteast. I cannot even imaging my own Marina would do that!Â
Out of empathy (Yes, empathy), I bought a drink to one girl, which I think she do not have much luck as she was fat. She sat beside me and I believe she would think I should be hanky panky with her. She kept holding my hands and put on her assets. But I was sad to see her doing it. I asked if she were hungry and she told me yes. But if I were to bring her out for dinner, I need to pay extra.Â
I asked how much would she make as been a hostress. She told me about SGD500/month and for those stripteast (junior), they earn only about SGD350/month. All these were incusive of tips and drinks that we, man, paid for the girls to sit by us, which is splitted 50% between them and the bar. Each drink is about SGD5.00 only. So, in the end, I bought a few more drinks for her. I also asked her why do she need to do this as she could be doing more decent jobs, and she begin to shed tears so i stopped asking her and asked her to go home.
Though the whole trips were fun, with full of laughter, hey, you cannot imaging we can joke whole day telling jokes like old days, but the experience were shocking or more sad. I do pray for them, hope they could be better living. I know it’s demand and supply issue. But I really hope they could live a more decent live.
